Every year, neuroscience education events are held around the world during Brain Awareness Week (BAW) to increase and advance public awareness about the progress and promise of brain research, and to inspire the next generation of neuroscientists. The Society for Neuroscience (SfN) and the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives (DABI) have compiled a report on the activities held during BAW. This report enables participants to learn from each others' experience and get ideas for future campaign efforts.
Upon the conclusion of each BAW, event sponsors and their partner organizations are encouraged to contribute to the report by submitting:
- a brief write-up highlighting prominent aspects of the activities,
- a handful of the best photos, and
- promotional materials that best convey the story.
The Interactive BAW Web Report presents contributions from individual BAW participants that were received by the SfN and DABI by way of the electronic report submission form. Contributions to the report were made from all over the world. Click on an active continent to search for BAW participants by country.
