Neuroscience Education Resources CD ROM

This resource collection is for use in K-12 classroom activities and is available as a CD ROM or download. The program a gateway to SfN educational resources as well as movies, curriculum supplements and activity ideas from other sources.

Instructions to download, unzip and launch are below.

Download/Launch Instructions

For the PC:

  1. From your browser double click the sfn_nerve(pc).zip folder to begin file download 
  2. Select 'open' from the file download pop-up menu (WinZip)...OR right mouse click and select 'unzip' to decompress the files to your desktop. 
  3. Click 'I agree' (WinZip) to unzip the folder to your desktop 
  4. Double click the "sfn_nerve(pc)" icon in the downloaded folder to launch the Flash player and NERVE program.

For the Mac:

  1. Double click the sfn_nerve(mac).zip file to begin the download from the server 
  2. Once the file has downloaded a message will pop up stating the file contains an application and asking if you want to continue. Click 'continue' to finalize the download. 
  3. Find the downloaded file, "sfn_nerve(mac)"...most likely it is on your desktop 
  4. Double click the icon to open the file and launch the Flash application by clicking on the "sfn_nerve(mac)" file.
