SfN-IBRO International Travel Awards

Background
The Society for Neuroscience offers Travel Awards for neuroscientists under the age of 35 from the less-developed countries of the five International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) regions (Africa, Asian/Pacific, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, and Europe) to attend Neuroscience 2008, scheduled for November 15-19 in Washington, DC.

Eligibility
Nominees must be from a developing country, under 35 years old, and the first author of an abstract presented at the annual meeting. The applicant must provide a copy of the abstract.

Check back for 2009 information.

Selection Criteria
The IBRO Fellowships and Travel Grants Committee will review all application materials for merit, and awardees will be notified in June.

Mentoring 
Each designated fellow is asked to participate in the SfN Mentoring Program sponsored by the Professional Development Cluster.  In order to be assigned a mentor, fellows are asked to register for a mentor during the the call for mentees.  More information regarding the mentoring program can be found here
